(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, March 24, a very strong jetstream lies over the Northern Rockies and Northern Plains, which is tightening the pressure gradient.
This means western winds are increasing by this afternoon, gusting up to 45 mph, which will usher in milder air under mostly sunny skies, Lipson explained. The wind gusts will continue into tonight, meaning warmer temperatures under partly cloudy skies.
The National Weather Service in Riverton also reported that outside of a few lingering showers over northwest Wyoming this morning, dry conditions are expected today.
High temperatures will vary across the 10 today, with Dubois and the South Pass areas in the 40’s, Jeffrey City at 58 degrees, and the rest of Fremont County in the lower 60’s.
Lows tonight will be in the 30’s.
