(Fremont County, WY) – The National Weather Service in Riverton has shared that today, August 4, hot temperatures will return to the area by this afternoon.
A gusty breeze will develop across southern Wyoming and bring critical fire weather, the NWSR added, and any thunderstorms will be confined to northwestern Wyoming.
A Red Flag Warning has also been issued for portions of Fremont County starting today at noon, and will last until at least 8 PM. (A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.)
Highs will be in the 90s for most today, with lows tonight in the 50s and lower 60s.
