(Fremont County, WY) – Much like Christmas day, the day after Christmas continues to be mostly dry and snowless throughout Fremont County, but, as a weather system continues moving through the western mountains, Togwotee Pass currently looks to be where all of our winter wonderland snow is going.
While the snow may look like a lot, Togwotee Pass, US 26/287 “Between the E Boundary of Grand Teton Nat’l Park and Lava Mountain Lodge,” remains open at this time, with road conditions listed as “Slick with Snowfall.”
The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued Winter Storm Warnings and Advisories for the western mountains through Friday evening, and has also advised that new Winter Storm Watches have been issued “as a second winter storm sweeps in behind this system, bringing significant heavy snow to a large area of western Wyoming Friday night through the weekend.”
