The Wind River Transportation Authority (WRTA), in partnership with the Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA), was awarded a USDA grant to fund a technical assistance study. This project will evaluate the structure, scope, and delivery of transit services in Fremont County and, most importantly, help build long-term sustainability into the public transportation network.
This project is designed to support a public transit system that is accessible, financially sustainable, and responsive to the evolving needs of residents.
In the next six weeks, representatives from CTAA will be in Fremont County meeting with key community partners. Their goal is to ensure that no organization feels left out of this planning process and that this work remains firmly focused on community-driven transportation.
To help coordinate these conversations, the WRTA would greatly appreciate input on when you or your organization would be able to meet with the CTAA, and what topics you feel should be addressed. A survey has been prepared to gather interest and schedule times as thoughtfully as possible:
