(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, March 13, a strong pressure gradient will remain over the area for another windy day, but not as windy as yesterday.
We can expect west winds to blow at 25-35 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. Temperatures will be mild, with highs in the low 60s under mostly sunny skies.
Togwotee Pass will likely receive 5-10 inches of new snow by the end of today, as a strong westerly flow draws in Pacific moisture into the area.
Tonight will be windy in the evening, with west winds continuing at 25-35 mph and gusts of 45 mph (the winds will diminish after midnight); lows will be in the upper 30s.
For tomorrow, Saturday, conditions are expected to be very windy ahead of an approaching cold front, with west winds blowing at 40-50 mph and gusts up to 60 mph. Lipson added that we could see a few showers toward sunset as the front approaches, with the strong westerly flow continuing to transport Pacific moisture into northwest Wyoming. Togwotee Pass will likely pick up another 8-14 inches of new snow by the end of the day.
