(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, May 15, a passing weak trough will tighten the pressure gradient, resulting in increasing west-southwest winds to speeds of 25 to 35 mph and gusts of 45 mph.
The high temperature will once again be in the mid-70s, and the relative humidity will dip down to 8 percent. The warm weather, combined with wind and low relative humidity, will increase the potential for fire danger once again, and we will also see Virga showers, as precipitation falls out of the high-base cumulus clouds and evaporates before reaching the ground due to the dry air in the lower atmosphere.
Tonight will be clear to partly cloudy and cool with lows near 40 degrees, along with west winds of 20 to 30 mph and gusts of 40 mph, decreasing after midnight.
