(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that last night’s winds (with many areas gusting over 40 mph in the Wind River Basin) will continue into today, January 11.
Today’s northwest winds will gust up to 35 mph behind a strong Pacific trough moving across the area, which will also provide snow showers.
Lipson says the Sinks Canyon and South Pass areas could see an inch or two of snow, with little or no accumulation for most other areas. Conditions will remain mostly cloudy tonight after any evening showers.
The National Weather Service in Riverton also reported that winds should decrease for most places this evening and into the night.
Today, high temperatures will be in the lower 30’s and 20’s for most, with lows tonight in the teens.
