(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, August 29, will be mostly sunny in the morning and partly sunny in the afternoon, with a high near 80 degrees.
A low-pressure center over the Pacific Northwest will track east toward the Canadian Rocky Mountains, and as it does, it will increase the pressure gradient, resulting in west-southwest winds of 20 to 30 miles per hour with gusts of 40 miles per hour in the afternoon. We can expect isolated afternoon thunderstorms, mainly over the higher terrain, and any storms that do form may produce outflow winds of 50 to 60 miles per hour ahead of the parent thunderstorm cell.
Tonight, we can expect widely scattered showers and mostly cloudy skies, with lows in the upper 50s, along with south-southwest winds of 20 to 30 miles per hour in the evening, diminishing after midnight.
