(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, May 16, will see decreasing clouds in the morning, followed by partly sunny skies in the afternoon.
A low-pressure center over the Pacific Northwest will approach the area, which will increase our pressure gradient once again, causing west winds of 20 to 30 mph and gusts of 35 mph.
The wind and relative humidity, down to 12 percent, mean elevated fire risk, Lipson added, and we could see some Virgo showers once again. High temperatures will be in the mid-70s.
Tonight will have increasing clouds with lows in the low 40s. As a Pacific Northwest trough continues the track toward the Rockies, a cold front will slice across the area from the north, switching winds around to the north after midnight at speeds of 20 to 30 mph, with gusts of 35 mph.
