(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, April 21, a vigorous Pacific trough will track across the area.
Any rain showers this trough caused this morning will dissipate by late morning, and we should have mostly sunny skies through the afternoon.
Lipson added that the sunshine will destabilize the air mass, which may lead to another round of scattered showers in northern and eastern Fremont County, late this afternoon. Western winds are also expected to increase as the trough moves through, with gusts up to 45 mph. This evening, northwest winds gusting up to 35 will diminish by midnight under clearing skies.
The National Weather Service in Riverton also shared that storm development is possible by mid-afternoon across the Bighorn Basin, but no significant impacts are expected.
High temperatures will be in the 50’s for most today, with lows tonight in the 30’s.
