(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, May 11, a Pacific trough approaches the Pacific coast, which will increase the pressure gradient.
Lipson says this will increase southwest winds to up to 30 mph and usher in warmer winds under mostly sunny skies.
Moisture and instability will increase ahead of this trough, which could mean isolated rain showers late this afternoon into the evening hours. Localized wind gusts could reach 45 mph near any of these showers. Lipson added that tonight will be mostly cloudy with diminishing winds by midnight.
The National Weather Service in Riverton has also reported that high temperatures will be in the 70′ and 80’s today, with lows tonight in the 40’s and lower 50’s.
