(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that a strong atmospheric river is taking aim at Wyoming today, February 2, which means abundant moisture, mild temperatures, and partly sunny skies.
West/southwest winds will increase up to 40 mph this afternoon, Lipson also advises, with 65 gusts in the Lander area. A cold front will move slowly south across the area tonight, bringing more winds and snow showers into Monday morning.
The National Weather Service in Riverton also reported that snow will continue mainly across the west, although there is a chance for rain to mix with the snow in the western valleys late this afternoon into tonight.
High temperatures will be in the 30’s/40’s today, with lows tonight in the 20’s for most.
