(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, January 4, will be partly to mostly sunny and mild thanks to warming southwest winds, which will be gusting at 30 to 35 mph. However, southeast Fremont County will see southwest winds of 30 to 40 mph, with gusts of 50 to 55 mph.
Lipson added that snow will fall along the Wind River Mountains, with up to 3 inches possible over South Pass by late Sunday evening, and up to 6 inches over Togwotee Pass.
Tonight will be mostly cloudy with widely scattered rain turning to snow showers, and southwest winds gusting up to 30 to 35 mph (up to 50 mph in southeast Fremont County). Snow will diminish along the Wind River Mountains later this evening.
The National Weather Service in Riverton also reported that highs will be in the 40s and lower 50s for most areas, with lows tonight in the lower 30s and upper 20s.
