(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, October 19, we can expect sunny skies, as well as a pressure gradient that will increase out ahead of a robust approaching trough of low pressure.
This gradient/trough will cause southwest winds to increase to speeds of 25 to 35 mph, with gusts up to 45 mph by this afternoon. Lipson added that in southeast Fremont County, namely South Pass, Beaver Rim, and Jeffrey City, the winds could gust there between 50 and 60 mph. These winds will usher in warmer air, and then tonight, skies will be partly cloudy with scattered showers developing after midnight.
The National Weather Service in Riverton also reported that highs will be in the 50s and 60s today, with lows tonight in the 30s for most.
