(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, March 28, the ridge axis associated with that stubborn area of high pressure over the southwestern United States will draw closer to Wyoming, but as it does, the ridge will flatten out, resulting in the tightening of the pressure gradient and increasing west-southwest winds.
These winds will increase the speeds of 25 to 35 mph by the afternoon, and these winds will draw in warmer air for a high in the mid-70s.
Tonight will be partly cloudy with a low around 40 degrees, and west winds gusting up to 35 mph, which should decrease well before midnight as these winds will be primarily diurnally driven winds.
