Paving on the actual highway (US 789) between Hudson and Riverton has been completed, according to Cody Beers. The project is almost done with the exception of paving approaches to the highway and chip sealing. They are still working on the bridge as well.
Chip sealing the new pavement is next on the list. However, it needs to be done during hot weather so it sticks to the asphalt. Longer delays, up to 20 minutes, can be expected again during this time. They are hoping later this week or next week the weather will cooperate.
WYDOT thanks you for your patience during this time and knows that longer delays are very inconvenient for everyone.
Once the project is completed the road will be significantly better and safer for travelers.
