(Thermopolis, WY) – Large rocks fell onto U.S. 20/WY789 about five miles south of Thermopolis early Monday morning, according to a recent post shared by the WYDOT District 5 Facebook page.
The rock fall occurred near milepost 127, around 1 AM, the post informs.
No injuries or road damage were reported, but the post states that one vehicle was damaged because it drove through the rock pile. WYDOT cleared the road by about 3 AM.
“Please drive safe in Wind River Canyon, especially at nighttime,” WYDOT also advises in the post.
