(Ethete, WY) – Wyoming Indian Elementary School students with “outstanding attendance” were recently celebrated for their efforts, and now get to ride around the block on brand new bikes, courtesy of Principal Laura Frederick.
Principal Frederick took the kiddos shopping last week to pick out their new bikes and helmets, and then they got to take a “victory lap” at a schoolwide assembly this morning, April 13. Organizers said they hope the victory lap will challenge all the other students to “attend all day, every day until the end of the year for a big reward!”
“Wyoming Indian Elementary has been working super hard on attendance,” Principal Frederick shared with County 10. “We have been making sure families have support to get kids to school and also worked hard to make sure school is a place where kids want to be. We are so excited to reward our students who come to school all day, every day.”
“While we want students to be intrinsically motivated, I know we all work for a purpose, and I am so glad that we can provide bikes as a surprise to these kids who go above and beyond!”
