The Riverton Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the Riverton Senior Center, Wind River Transportation Authority (WRTA) and WYDOT to host a Public Transit Community Session on Tuesday, August 5 from 5–7 PM at the Riverton Senior Center.

Transportation to the event will be available. This is a listening and information gathering session – all are welcome! Whether you’re a senior, a caregiver, frequent rider, or a
community member wanting to be involved, this event is for you.
We would especially like to hear from:
- Seniors & older adults
- Differently-abled community members
- Caregivers, guardians & caseworkers
- Frontline staff in healthcare, daycare, housing, and tribal services.
- Individuals who currently use, or would like to use transit services.
Evolving federal and state priorities emphasize eliminating overlap in publicly funded transit. With the Riverton Senior Center and WRTA serving similar areas, consolidation with WRTA ensures compliance, improves efficiency, and protects local services amid increased oversight and limited funding.
Together, we’re building a stronger, and more sustainable transit system – one that keeps everyone moving safely and reliably.
