(Fremont County, WY) – Memorial Day 2025 will take place on Monday, May 26, and there will be a number of opportunities in Fremont County to pay respect to those who gave their lives for our country.
Starting today in Lander, local youth will be out with the American Legion and VFW to raise flags on Main Street. On Monday, the VFW will be hosting a brunch from 9 AM to 2 PM, open to the public. The official Memorial Day Ceremony will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery at 11 AM.
The Hudson ceremony will take place at the Hudson Cemetery at 9 AM. Refreshments and coffee will then be served at the Town Hall.

In Riverton, the ceremony will take place at Mountain View Cemetery at 10 AM, and there will also be multiple events this weekend and on Monday to coincide, including the 36th Annual Wyoming Weapons Collectors Memorial Weekend Gun Show on Saturday and Sunday, and the Oilfield Ironmen’s Auto Show on Monday.
For Dubois, the National Museum of Military Vehicles is holding its annual Veterans Fair, which begins with events starting today, May 23, at 5 PM.
In Fort Washakie, the ceremony will be led by the American Legion Richard Pogue Post 81, at 10 AM at the Path of Honor Wind River Reservation Veterans Memorial.
