(Fremont County, WY) – Crowheart resident Quinlan (James) Hernandez was sentenced to 300 months imprisonment followed by 5 years supervised release at his sentencing hearing held today, March 5, before the Honorable Judge Scott W. Skavdahl in the U.S. Disrict Court of Casper.
Hernandez was also ordered to pay a $100 special assessment fee, and the court filings State that restitution is “to remain open for 90 days.”
Hernandez was originally charged with nine counts of sexual abuse involving a minor back in April of 2024, after a missing 14-year-old was located at his residence, who later reported physical and sexual abuse to investigators, according to federal Court documents.
Specifically, Hernandez was charged with four counts of aggravated sexual abuse, two counts of sexual abuse, and three counts of sexual abuse of a minor
Hernandez initially pled “not guilty” to the charges at his July arraignment hearing, and a jury trial was then scheduled and reset multiple times. However, a non-public plea agreement was later filed on his behalf in December of 2024.
As a part of that plea agreement, counts 1-4 and 6-9 were “dismissed on oral motion” at today’s sentencing, leaving one count of sexual abuse.
As stated above, Hernandez was sentenced to 25 years imprisonment.
