(Lander, WY) – A fireworks display is set to take place in Lander on July 4 at 10 PM, following the Lander Pioneer Days Rodeo.
After safety and insurance issues arose back in 2023, the City opted out of continuing to organize and host the fireworks display. Since that time, the Independence Day Fireworks Committee has stepped in to ensure the display still happens, albeit in a different location.
The display will take place at 10 PM in the DEQ parking lot, where parking will be open to the public starting at 9 PM. (Enter the Wyoming Life Resource Center from Chittim Road, and proceed to the DEQ parking lot).
Organizers have confirmed that parking and entry are free, but donations are appreciated. They also noted that the Lucky Pond area will not be used this year.
“You can watch the show from your car or pickup bed, but if you want to bring lawn chairs, there will be an area between the parking lot and the firing area,” organizers commented. “The show is going to be bigger, better, and much closer to the audience than last year. We look forward to seeing everyone at the show.”
