UPDATE: The planned outage has been rescheduled for October 24. As a result, school schedules will not be affected.
(Fremont County, WY) – High Plains Power will be conducting a scheduled power outage on Wednesday, October 15, from 1 to 5 PM.
The outage will affect the Diversion Dam, Pavillion, Crowheart, and Dubois areas, resulting in an early release for students at Dubois and Wind River schools.
Dubois will have the early release at 12:45 PM, and lunch will be provided, according to a post shared on the district Facebook page. Questions can be fielded to Superintendent Annette Walters at agwalters@fremont2.org or 307-455-5545.
Wind River schools, including Crowheart Elementary, will release at 12 PM. A post on the district Facebook page states that students will be given sack lunches before dismissal, and buses will depart shortly after the noon dismissal.
