(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, June 20, will be hot and windy, with west/southwest winds gusting up to 40 mph as the pressure gradient increases ahead of an approaching strong Pacific trough and an associated large, upper low over the Pacific Northwest.
Tonight will be mostly clear, with continued southwest winds of 25 to 35 mph.
The National Weather Service in Riverton also advised that elevated to critical fire weather conditions continue for the area today, and isolated thunderstorms are again possible this afternoon, focusing on the northwest Parks.
High temperatures will be in the lower 90’s for most today (Dubois and the South Pass area will be in the upper 70’s), with lows tonight in the upper 50’s.
