(Fremont County, WY) – The sentencing hearing for Roddeen Ingawanup was held today, October 22, before the Honorable Judge Scott W. Skavdahl in the District Court of Casper.
Ingawanup was sentenced to 35 months imprisonment with three years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay $500 in community restitution and $200 in special assessment fees.
Ingawanup was initially charged with three felony Counts, including distribution of methamphetamine and Fentanyl, distribution of Fentanyl, and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and Fentanyl.
At today’s sentencing, Count 2 (the solo distribution of Fentanyl charge) was dismissed on an “oral motion by the United States,” according to federal court filings.
Ingawanup was sentenced for these charges after a drug trafficking investigation on the Wind River Reservation, where a confidential informant was able to obtain both methamphetamine and Fentanyl, according to the federal complaint document on file.
Ingawanup initially pled “not guilty” to the charges, but later changed that plea following a plea agreement back in July, and an October 16 sentencing hearing was set (and later rescheduled to October 22).
