(Fremont County, WY) – The National Weather Service in Riverton issued a Flood Advisory for portions of southwestern Fremont County, effective until 5:45 PM, July 22.
Areas include the following streams and drainages: Baldwin Creek, Middle Popo Agie River, High Meadow Creek, Surrel Creek, North Fork Popo Agie River, Deep Creek, Shoshone Creek, Smith Lake Creek, Sand Creek and Twin Parks Creek.
The NWSt reports that at 2:44 PM, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms, and that minor flooding will occur in low-lying and poor drainage areas, with rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area, which will result in the minor flooding.
The Advisory is in addition to the Flood Watch in effect for all of Fremont County until late tonight.
