(Fremont County, WY) – It’s that time of year again to bust out the grills, fireworks, and red, white, and blue apparel! There will be a number of Independence Day events taking place in Fremont County from July 3 through July 5.
- Lander
The City of Lander has shared the following post with July 3/4 event details, ranging from the Challenge for Charities Run and Senior Center pancake breakfast and parade in the morning, to the Rotary’s annual Buffalo BBQ in City Park in the afternoon, as well as the LOTRA rodeo and Independence Day Fireworks Committee fireworks show in the evening.

- Pavillion
Pavillion will kick off the Independence Day celebrations with the Pavillion Volunteer Firefighter Battalion 7 annual event on July 3, complete with a BBQ, silent auction, and fireworks show.
- Dubois
Dubois will have celebrations on both July 3 and July 4 (plus a Poker Run on the 5th). You can check out all of the events by clicking here, courtesy of the Dubois Chamber of Commerce.
Don’t forget, a portion of US-26 will close from about 2 PM to 2:30 PM during the July 4 parade. Also, the National Museum of Military Vehicles will be hosting Iwo Jima Day at the museum on July 5.
- Riverton
Riverton had a fireworks show last night after the Little League Championship games, but County 10 is unaware of any other city-wide Independence Day events at this time.
However, the City of Riverton has shared the rules and regulations for fireworks use, embedded below.
- Jeffrey City
The Jeffrey City Volunteer Fire Department will host its annual Independence Day BBQ on July 5 this year.
“As usual we will be cooking up Hamburgers, Brats, and hotdogs,” the JCVFD post states. “It would be great if you want to bring a side, salad, or desert. This will be a bring-your-own-drinks function.”
The open house starts at 3 PM, and the fireworks show will begin at dark.
- Shoshoni
A fireworks show will take place at Boysen Marina on July 4, starting at 9:30 PM, with music from 6 to 9 PM.
The Town of Shoshoni also shared its rules and regulations for in-town fireworks use and open container laws.
