Fremont County, Wyo. (September 22, 2026) – SageWest Health Care is pleased to welcome Jared Thompson, D.O., to its Emergency Medicine team, where he is providing care for patients at SageWest’s emergency department in Lander.

Dr. Thompson earned his medical degree from the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He brings experience from both high-volume emergency departments and rural healthcare settings.
Dr. Thompson’s approach to medicine is grounded in authenticity, calm decision-making, clear communication and treating each patient with the respect he would want for his own family. He values honest conversations, evidence-based care and building trust with patients and families during life’s most challenging moments.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Thompson enjoys spending time with his wife and children, rock climbing, hiking and the outdoors.
