SageWest Health Care is once again helping Fremont County residents take a more active role in their health with a new round of Healthy U, a free six-week workshop beginning Thursday, Sept. 10.
Healthy U is designed for anyone living with a chronic health condition, as well as those who help care for someone with a chronic condition. The workshop focuses on practical tools participants can use in everyday life, including problem solving, healthy eating, action planning, understanding emotions, exercise, evaluating treatments, effective communication and working with healthcare professionals.
The six sessions will be held from 12:30 to 3 pm at the Lander Senior Center, 205 S. 10th St. in Lander, on the following Thursdays: Sept. 10, Sept. 17, Sept. 24, Oct. 1, Oct. 8 and Oct. 15. Participants are highly encouraged to attend all six sessions.
Through Healthy U, participants can learn new ways to better manage their health, connect with others who are also living with chronic health conditions, improve their quality of life and potentially spend less time at the doctor or hospital.
The workshop is free to attend. To register, scan the QR code or contact Janine Turnington, MPT, at SageWest at 307-335-6384 or Janine.Turnington@scionhealth.com.

Healthy U offers a supportive setting to learn, connect and make a plan for better health one manageable step at a time.
