Fremont County, Wyo. (June 9, 2026) – SageWest Health Care is pleased to formally introduce Kaitlin Sweeney, M.D., who has been serving patients in the Riverton Emergency Department. Her work has further supported SageWest’s mission to provide reliable, compassionate emergency care.

Dr. Sweeney completed her Emergency Medicine residency at John Peter Smith (JPS) Health Network in Fort Worth, Texas, and earned her medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
Her path toward medicine was influenced at a young age as she helped her family navigate her younger brother’s complex medical needs. “My little brother has multiple severe medical issues, and going to his appointments with my mom opened my eyes to how impactful and meaningful medical care can be,” she said.
Dr. Sweeney values the variety and purpose of Emergency Medicine and strives to empower patients through encouragement and preventive guidance. Outside of work, she enjoys nature, animals, and spending time with friends and family.
