Wyoming Secretary of State Chuck Grey (R) has officially announced that he is seeking the Republican nomination for Wyoming’s At-Large seat in the United States House of Representatives.
The announcement was made after U.S. Representative (R) Harriet Hageman declared her intentions to run for the U.S. Senate following Senator Cynthia Lummis’ decision not to seek re-election to the U.S. Senate in 2026.
“I’m running for Congress to continue fighting for Wyoming’s way of life,” Secretary Gray said in the release. “With Congresswoman Harriet Hageman running for U.S. Senate, Wyoming needs a representative who will build on her strong record, advance our shared Wyoming values, and advance the Trump agenda that has delivered the largest margin of victory in the nation in three straight presidential elections.”
After previously representing the 57th district in the Wyoming House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023, Gray was elected secretary of state in 2022. Since that time, he has remained a staunch opponent of Governor Mark Gordon and “one of President Trump’s strongest defenders.”
“When political insiders abandoned President Trump, I didn’t flinch,” Gray said in the release. “I stood with the President and the American people, because in this country, voters decide elections—not radical leftist attorneys.”
Among Grey’s campaign focuses mentioned in the announcement video are treating drug smugglers like “terrorists,” opposition to “woke wind projects” and “radicals that want men in girls’ sports,” and deporting the “illegals flooding our border.”
“Today and every day, our campaign is about the people of Wyoming,” Gray concluded in the release. “I will listen to them, work for them, and deliver results.”
