(Wyoming) – Late Saturday morning, January 25, the WYDOT District 1 – Southeast Wyoming Facebook page shared that a passenger vehicle hit a WYDOT snow plow on U.S. 30/287 north of Laramie.
Just about three hours later, they shared that another snow plow collision occurred, this time involving a semi on I-80, by Lone Tree.
This is the ninth plow to be hit this season in the state and the fourth in District 1, the post informs. (District 1 includes most of Laramie, Albany and Carbon counties and the I-80 corridor from Creston Jct. to the Nebraska state line.)
Back in December, County 10 reported on a snowplow collision near Ten Sleep in District 5, which was followed by another one west of Dayton.
“For those traveling this winter, please give WYDOT plows plenty of room to work. Use caution if passing; the road behind an active plow is the safest,” WYDOT always advises.
