(Dubois, WY) – At the June 24 regular meeting, the Dubois Town Council announced that there would be a ban on personal fireworks going into the July 4 celebrations.
“Based on the recommendation of Fire Chief (Mike) Franchini, it was moved, seconded, and carried to declare a severe fire threat within the town limits and institute a ban of the personal use of fireworks,” the meeting minutes state.
The ban aligns with Riverton’s decision to ban personal-use fireworks on July 4, as well as the County land fire/fireworks restrictions that went into effect on June 29. As of this writing, Lander and Shoshoni are still allowing fireworks.
